Emory Autism Center 2020 Summer Conference has ended
The Emory Autism Center’s Monarch Summer Conference is for anyone involved with the education of individuals diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) including educators, vocational providers, behavior specialists, school administrators, paraprofessionals, speech and occupational therapists, rehabilitation counselors, school psychologists, parents, family members, mental health providers, families of individuals with ASD, and individuals with ASD.

We are featuring 25 sessions with top notch speakers in education and transition for students with ASD. Please identify the appropriate track (parent, education, transition) that will fit your interests/needs in order to identify sessions to attend.

In this session we will discuss routines, specific strategies, and behavior systems that will benefit ALL students but set students with ASD up for success in inclusive classrooms. We will focus specifically on ways to help difficult students take ownership of their behaviors. We will discuss strategies that help with even the most difficult behaviors while bringing attention to the positive behavior of all students.

Learning Objectives:
1. Participants will learn ways to create a positive, inclusive learning environment for all students.
2. Participants will learn a variety of strategies to learn with all students to improve the most difficult behaviors.
3. Participants will hear real-life examples of struggles and successes from a first grade inclusion classroom.
